This Privacy Policy explains how QueryPilot handles information. QueryPilot is owned and operated by Budder Technology.

Information we store on your device

QueryPilot is designed so that most data stays on your device. Depending on how you use the app, the following may be stored locally:

  • Connection profile details you enter (for example host, port, username, and optional database name).
  • Saved commands you create.
  • SQL drafts you write in the query runner.
  • Query results displayed in the app and any export files you generate.

Information we store on our server

QueryPilot stores only a single identifier on the server:

  • Install ID: an identifier used to enable subscriptions, enforce plan limits, and apply rate limiting.

We do not store your database passwords, your SQL statements, or your query results on our servers as part of normal app operation.

How we use the install ID

The install ID is used for a small set of purposes:

  • Determining your current plan (Free, Pro, Enterprise) for feature access.
  • Applying usage limits (for example daily runs or maximum rows) to protect service stability.
  • Basic abuse prevention and rate limiting.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information to third parties.
  • We do not store your database contents, your connection passwords, or your query results on our servers as part of normal app use.

Network connections and third party services

QueryPilot makes network connections in two primary cases:

  • Database connections: When you run a query, the app connects through QueryPilot secure servers to the database server you configured.
  • Entitlement and limits: The app may contact QueryPilot servers to validate plan status using the install ID.

If you purchase a subscription, your payment is handled by your platform store provider (for example Google Play). QueryPilot does not receive your full payment details.

Security

We aim to keep data safe using practical measures:

  • Local app data is stored on your device, and sensitive fields may use platform secure storage when available.
  • You should use SSL or other encryption options supported by your database server when possible.
  • You are responsible for securing your device and protecting access to your database servers.

Data retention

  • Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
  • The install ID may remain on our server for as long as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and manage subscription entitlements.

Children’s privacy

QueryPilot is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
